| Introduction | Hi! Welcome to my blog site. I am a struggling freelance artist from Boise, Idaho. I love being an artist, it is my passion, but it also has its challenges, especially in this difficult economy. I work primarily with colored pencil and turpenoid, sometimes combining this with pastel or watercolor. My favorite subjects are animals and landscapes; however, I enjoy doing portraits of people as well. I have my own business, Chick Artistic Creations, where I market my art and sometimes I teach art classes. I am a part-time student at Boise State University pursuing my BFA in Art Education. My goal is to be a certified art teacher. In September 2007 I was thrilled to have a pastel portrait I did of the late Princess Diana published in a coffee table book called "Diana in Art."
