Introduction	I chose the name "The Next Step" years ago because I was embarking on the next step in my life, going from young & single to young & married and all of a sudden "mom" was such a hard transition for me that I internalized a lot, and was a pretty cranky person. When I started this blog it was around the time I thought I was ready for a 2nd child - and then a BIG surprise turned that 2nd child into 2nd & 3rd. Yay for twins but boy did I freak out! I'm not sure I ever stopped freaking out, and they will be 2 1/2 soon. Now I've rediscovered my own blog and the name still fits!
