| Introduction | I am a lover and hoarder of books. Confession aside, I've read and collected books from the age of 6 and I don't see the habit being broken this side of death. It isn't just reading, I love cover designs and illustrations; I like pictures of books on shelves and the buildings which house them; I like the accessories which go with books such as bookmarks and bookends and am fascinated by the uses people find for books in art and craft. My reading tastes are fairly eclectic but I generally prefer non-fiction. My favourite authors are: Dorothy Dunnett, Jasper Fforde, Dick Francis, Robert Harris, Michael Dobbs, Peter Fitzsimons, Geraldine Brookes, John Birmingham, Josephine Tey, C.S Lewis (no particular order here just as they occurred to me).
