The horrible atrocities of Salem, MA in 1692 had nothing to do with actual witchcraft and it would seem at first glance that the city becoming the premiere Halloween destination in America is a tasteless and greedy turn of events, but that's only true for MOST people in town.
Many of us actually love this city not for how we can exploit it, but for what it was and what it can be - and what it is: Halloween Town. It's not hard to pay respect to history and honor the past while still having fun when you genuinely give a damn.
