| Introduction | Ste’phane Parker was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He’s been writing short stories and poems since he was in the first grade. His family has always known him to possess a vivid imagination and merciless drive once he’s decided on something. Ste’phane’s been writing online since 2004 once he was introduced to a social network called Xanga by Elizabeth Minisee. During his first month writing online, he wrote 75 poems and rediscovered his love for the written word. During that time he truly understood how passionate passages could change someone’s life. He refocused his aim and became determined to publish a poetry book. After an extensive search for self-publishing companies, Ste’phane found that none of these companies ‘felt’ right. So, for the past 2 years he’s researched the steps of becoming a business owner. He started his own publishing company. Now, he’s the proud CEO of Imperative Publishing, LLC, which will expand the vision that Ste’phane has had since he was a small child; to tell stories that people will enjoy and remember.
