| Introduction | I grew up on a humble country farm in Fond du Lac County, Wi in a time when we could ride our bikes anywhere and our parents knew we would return. We shared beds, clothing, the outhouse, stick houses in the woods and honey peanut butter bread. My parents, Joe and Lois Floyd taught us about God, the importance of a job well done and to make do with what we had. We learned respect, dependability and creativity. Neither mom nor dad had time to question or dream as they worked long hours every day to care for their ten children. Growing up, I thought we had everything and there was nothing my parents couldn't do, I still think that. I was blessed. I am further blessed with my husband of 37 years and four daughters that are my joy and the fulfillment of my life. They have given me more blessings; Ezra, Eli, Liam, Payton and Violet....God and life are so good! |
