| Introduction | DJ Sista Whitenoise started her career in 1992 as an on- air personality for KAAM radio in Dallas, TX. She has since worked at clubs, charity galas, produced music for fashion runway events and hosted shows on both public radio and the internet. Personal favorites lean toward genres with solid funky beats including Afro-Cuban Jazz, Big Beat, Old School Funk, R&B and Afrobeat with a special affinity for Old School and Underground Hip-Hop. Juke, Indie and straight up Roots, Garage, and Psychedelic Rock also feature prominently in her sets. In 2007 she was nominated for "Best DJ" by the Dallas Observer Music Awards (DOMA), in 2011 she was nominated for "Best DJ in Dallas" in the D Magazine Best of Big D Readers Choice Poll and in 2012 Sonic Assembly" the radio show she co-hosted with Reid Robinson a.k.a. DJ Woodtronic was nominated for "Best Radio Show" in the Dallas Observer Music Awards (DOMA).
