| Introduction | Good day to you. A little about myself before we begin. My name is Sir Ballard Gideon Twistleton Childe. Born at a young age to a classical musician mother and a classical mortician father I have always been a man of culture and singular taste. A wanderer by heart, I have spent my life in the happy pursuit of lost lands, traditions and infectious diseases. By day I am known as the Professor of Applied Folkology at St Desmonds College, Oxford, by night I am known as the Archivist Folklorist Travel Writing Photographing Camel Wrangling Pipesmoking Tobacconists' Model. I am also proud to be known as the Shanty Islanders' first official blogger. Or as they say in the Old Shanto dialect "bugger". |
