| Introduction | I am a 57 year old mother of two and grandmother of three. I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in the summer of 2007. This blog charts my struggle with the illness and my attempts to need a normal life. My Memoir Fifty/50 was published in June and can be ordered direct from silverwoodbooks.co.uk. It outlines my East End childhood in the 50s and 60s as well as my current efforts to survive this devastating disease. In my spare time I play guitar, paint, read and write. I am also a keen cyclist and enjoy the outdoors. I love swimming in the sea. |
