| Introduction | Andreas Gerhardus Velthuizen was born in 1956 and is married for twenty-six years. He has two adult children (a son and a daughter). For the last twenty-four years, he resides North of the Magalies Mountains in Pretoria, the Capital of South Africa, from where he inter-connects with the local and international community through his vocation as inspired entrepreneur, scholar, and community leader. Currently he is the owner of a micro-enterprise in pursuit of contracts as consultant in the field of knowledge production, knowledge development, and change management for businesses and peace initiatives in Africa. He completed a Doctors Degree in Politics from the University of South Africa (UNISA) obtained through the Centre for African Renaissance Studies. The title of the thesis was “The Management of Knowledge: A Model for the African Renaissance”, a trans-disciplinary study dealing with the management of knowledge in Africa according to a trans-dimensional knowledge management model. The thesis presents solutions to find collaborative middle ground between international organizations and African society. |
