Introduction	My name is Christen Boyd. As a lifelong artist and crafter in a family chock full of them, I was raised to be inspired by everything around me: literature, music, nature, travel, history, family. For years I kept art on the back burner, working in decidedly uncreative jobs as a way to pay the bills. Frankly, it never occurred to me that there was another way, but thankfully my husband’s faith in me sparked the desire to pursue my dream. As a new mother to a beautiful baby girl, I want to show my daughter that everything is possible and that one should always strive towards living a beautiful, fulfilling life while enriching the lives of others. Belle Reve Designs began as a way to translate everyday inspiration and expend creative energy in a purposeful way, giving voice to the maker within. I embark on flights of fancy, leading me to work in so many mediums: gemstone and vintage jewelry, mixed media, encaustics, metalsmithing, weaving, et cetera. Like so many artists, I flit from project to project, often struggling to complete anything before the next idea takes over.
