Introduction | I am on a journey to become a professional mom. Not in the sense that I get it right all the time and always know exactly what to do, but in the sense that I am confident, competent, and pretty good at what I do. I've gotten pretty good lots of things: sewing, making hair bows. mixing homeopathic bath teas, making my own jam. I can cook too, but I cannot follow a recipe which on occasion has resulted in pizza delivery. I am a full time mom; someone has to take care of the children once you bring them into the world, and for me, that person is ME. If I have made any sacrifices or major financial cutbacks to do what I do, they are long forgotten, and we have all settled comfortably and without incident into our single-income family. Our children spend the day with someone who truly loves them, and who places their well-being above anything else. My life's biggest challenge is being a Christian married to a non-Christian. Hubby is great...just the other day, I found tiny little love notes hidden all over the bathroom/bedroom/closet for me to find as I got ready for the day ahead, but he is not the spiritual head of our family, and that is difficult. |
