IntroductionRetired photojournalist, and although I have a deep passion for photography health issues make it very difficult to do photography anymore (blog about photography at "Things I see"). I decided to explore the hobby of painting miniature soldiers. I'm not a gamer, but deeply interested in history, especially Irish & Scottish history, which is the bulk of my ancestry. So my miniatures will be of moments in the historical past that interest me. I'm also interested in the crusades and medieval times. I'm going to try painting 28mm (wow, they are small), but most likely switch to 54mm. And from time to time I shall post my Celtic wood carving (I do this during the warm season). Married, with three grown children.
