| Introduction | Having been screwed out of my place among the full-blooded gods by a number of bad decisions by my ancestors, I am forced to walk the Earth and remake it into something better and more powerful than my home. You humans, however, are a royal pain in the ass. And you're all so lazy that you'd rather let things remain as they are rather than remake your world. Since you rarely do anything unless trouble is afoot, I am forced to shake things up so that you may see the shining path. The plan of ascension has several phases. First, humans need to redesign their genome for immortality. If they're ever to match the wisdom of the gods, they need adequate time to assimilate it. Second, they need absolute control over their environment -- it won't do to see Earth smashed by an asteroid or burned up by runaway thermal retention. The way out is by technology. Third is the acquisition of power. This is composed of raw energy and the ability to control it. Technology shall save you all. Finally, and I know you may object, I shall take command of the newly redesigned humans and Earth to unseat the gods and control the universe. |
