| Introduction | We are a family, bonded by love and covenants with God. We are followers of Christ, aspiring to become as He is, striving to become His disciples. We are called Latter-day "Saints," not because we are perfect, but because as the greek definition indicates, we work toward being "set apart, separate, [and] holy" from the evils of the world. It is a daunting task, but one well worth it in the end. We live this way not because of cultural traditions, convenience, or social expectations, but because we have testimonies of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It is what give us hope. It is what brings us true happiness, and as you read on you will see how it underlies all of our everyday experiences. It is who we are. |
