| Introduction | I am an interdisciplinary scholar, filmmaker and educator whose work brings together cinema, media and cultural studies, comparative literature, and the study of culture and society. I teach Film Production at Western University’s Faculty of Information and Media Studies. My interests extend from visual culture and the politics of representation to caste, identity, and postcolonial and decolonial thought, particularly in relation to South Asia. My experience in filmmaking and media production continues to inform my academic work, just as scholarly inquiry deepens my understanding of images, narratives and the worlds they help us imagine. This space reflects an ongoing intellectual journey through ideas, books, films, photography and everyday experience. I remain interested in the connections between disciplines, in questions that resist easy answers, and in the possibility that looking again may allow us to see differently. |
