Introduction	Arts and cultural organizations are critical elements in the development of who we are as individuals and societies. My consulting work focuses on building adaptive capacities that can help museums, heritage organizations, performing and visual arts organizations be vibrant, focused and successful.
Interests	I've served as director of several historic house museums and historical societies in central and eastern New York, and now currently serve as the director of the Museum Association of New York. I'm a frequent workshop presenter and author, focusing on issues of board and organizational development, governance issues, and planning.
