| Introduction | Hello World! My names Jessi. I'm 33. Me in a nutshell: I have Cystic Fibrosis. I was diagnosed at birth. In October of 2005, I was diagnosed with CF related Diabetes. In March 2009, I was put on supplemental Oxygen 24 hrs a day. In September 2009, I had a feeding tube placed to help me gain weight. May 20, 2010 I was placed on 1 waiting list for a double lung transplant. On January 17, 2012 I was placed on a 2nd list. On July 22, 2012 I received my double lung transplant in Cleveland, OH. Although my life seems difficult from the outside, its just my life. The only life I have ever and will ever know. So please don't feel sorry for me. Your pity doesn't do me or you any good. I'm thankful for everything I have in life. I am also thankful for all the people in my life. They have helped me get through the toughest of times. I try and wake up everyday with a smile. Some days are harder than others but you have to keep your head up. I'm loving life the best way I can. Feel Free to comment and ask me anything. |
