| Introduction | “Community of the Cross” is my blog as pastor of Covenant Community Church in Fredericksburg, Va. As a fellow elder with Mike Danaher and Carl Ericson, I have the privilege of serving a church that seeks to be God-centered and biblically based in corporate worship and all other aspects of church life, to magnify Jesus and His completed work, to make much of the gospel and its ongoing impact in our lives, to teach the Bible expositionally, to make disciples of all people, to build up one another and to serve all. Our church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). I am a husband of one, father of two, father-in-law of two and grandfather of two. God continually and abundantly blesses me through all of them. I also am an employee of the SBC’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, serving as Washington correspondent for Baptist Press. |
