| Introduction | I have been photographing since I was about 12 years old. I began photography by using an old film s.l.r. camera. It was unique and required a different skill level than the camera I am now using, but I am glad I don't have to use it anymore! There was one time when I walked around my grandparent's farm and shot a whole roll of film only to discover that I hadn't loaded the film properly! I am now using (thanks to my wife) a Digital S.L.R. camera-Olympus E-500-and I love it! I am always looking for something to photograph, even when I don't have my camera with me. Asking myself "how would I photograph that? How can I capture what I am seeing? Where could I locate myself to make this picture even better, or just from a different perspective?" I think you can find beauty anywhere you go, but capturing it at just the right time, at just the right angle and so on, is where and when you begin to become a photographer. |
