Introduction Hi, I’m Liana, and for the past 40+ years I’ve had PMDD, or Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder. The first 25 years I had no idea what was going on, and simply thought I was crazy. For the next 10 years, I knew something was wrong, just not that there was anything I could do about it. Only in the past 9 years have I discovered what PMDD really is and that there are as many ways to manage it as there are women who have it. PMDD is not a one-size-fits-all disorder. Even the experts can’t agree on what it is, what causes it, or how to treat it. But since I started researching this disorder in earnest, I’ve discovered all sorts of information that is readily available--but not all in one place. No one site is a resource for all things PMDD, which would allow each woman to fully research her individual options. So I decided to create a site with that goal in mind. To have one site that would allow women the opportunity to figure out for ourselves what applies in our cases--and what doesn’t. If there's a subject you would like to see on this blog that is not, or if you have specific questions about PMDD, please contact me at info (at) livingwithpmdd (dot) com.
