| Introduction | Hummingbirds are small birds. Their name comes from the fact that they flap their wings so fast that they make a humming noise. Their relatively small size, brilliant colors, fearless personalities, and remarkable mode of flight have won nearly universal admiration from humans. Hummingbirds can fly right, left, up, down, backwards, and even upside down. Hummingbirds do not spend all day flying, as the energy costs of this would be prohibitive. In fact, they spend most of their lives sitting, perching and watching the world. [Note: The beautiful picture is courtesy - healing.about.com/.../Hummingbird.htm]. Like Hummingbirds, I also observe the small world around me with interest. I am a product of Vivekananda College Chennai, Post Graduate in Commerce as also Economics, cost accountant by qualification and ex-banker by profession. |
