| Introduction | I believe in the power of "doing-it-yourself". It provides satisfaction and pride and improves creativity. I learn new skills every time I embark on something new not to mention the sweet bucks I save every time I DIY ☺ Gardening connects me to nature and brings back memories of my younger days when I used to go with my parents to help in our garden back home. It is another way to express my creativity and practice my patience skills ☺ (because plants also need constant monitoring and tender care). Then, one day, they'll appear - the fruits of my labor and the sense of accomplishment, and of course, not being old Scrooge here, but again, saves me a lot of dough! I get lost in my own world when I paint. Painting allows me to picture something that does not necessarily exist and paint it on a canvas. In short, I can create my own world on a canvas! It's another outlet of self-expression and like gardening, a naturally therapeutic activity that I enjoy doing. |
