IntroductionBA Fine Art Kingston University (2008). Studied in America (Grand Rapids, Michigan) for 4 months, where the first Diary Drawings started. My main artistic practice is the ongoing 'Diary Drawing' project that I have been doing since September 2007. See all my diary drawings on this blog! Volumes #1 - 17! I'm hoping to work towards an exhibition at some point. I love zines & zine fairs, and I do commissions - Find examples of these here too! Feel free to get in touch with me if you want to buy/swap a zine, talk about a potential commission, or comment on my work at all! bex_purple@msn.com

Favorite moviesMy favourite film is Taxi Driver, closely followed by Rocky. After that comes a vast array of films including Eraserhead, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Naked, Dead Ringers, the Graduate, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, The Big Lebowski, 12 Angry Men, Superman 2, Being There... and a million others which I could not possibly list as I'd be here forever! I ruddy love films!
Favorite musicI'd say Radiohead are my favourite band, but I think my taste in music is quite eclectic really! I used to be utterly obsessed with the Beatles, I love Tubular Bells, Fleetwood Mac, Leonard Cohen. In recent years I have really loved Public Service Broadcasting & John Grant. I like soundtracks to films/ TV (Twin Peaks!) and also random songs like MacArthur Park! ("I'll never have that recipe again - oh nooooooo"!) 6 music is my radio station of choice - I used to rely on my old fave - Radio 2 but Absolute 80s is another go to!....My partner makes quarterly playlists SteelRazor Q Specials! <3 Enjoy going to Festivals and gigs to experience music live. Favoutite recent gigs Henge & Thumpasaurus...
Favorite booksI'm not a massive reader, but I do love Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Them by Jon Ronson, Helter Skelter (fascinating book surrounding Charles Manson), the Air is on Fire (an utterly amaaaaazing David Lynch book which includes a CD!), Art Books generally, the Red Riding books by David Peace, various comics/ graphic novels - particularly Batman related, or Alan Moore. At the moment I'm quite into Audiobooks. Infinite Jest and Sapiens were great.
