| Introduction | I am a hard working wife and mother of three children. For more than 20 years, my professional life has focused on strategic public relations consulting for many of the world's most well-known and trusted brands, including the development of Procter & Gamble's very first website "back in the olden days" (to quote our kids). My personal life is committed to my husband and our children, ages 12, 15 and 17. Each is truly special; however, our middle child, Andrew, was born four months premature and has extreme and often overwhelming needs. Over the years, I've watched my role as a professional communicator and active mother increasingly overlap, as our family has experienced the challenges and unexpected joys associated with physical disability, learning differences and many other related issues. We've simultaneously grown to rely on the web for thoughtful and factual information to help us on this adventure we call life. This blog attempts to share our experiences with other parents who might benefit, and to create a virtual dialogue and easy access to helpful ideas and perspective.
