| Introduction | First year masters student at the Graduate School of Library & Information Science a the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a focus on business libraries, social media, and business information seeking. I have very diverse interests ranging from social media (as mentioned) to music and campy action movies. I love traveling, cooking, and photography. Naturally, as a library student, I am also a major bibliophile though I'm not usually a fan of "classic" works. My major areas of interest include: The growth of cloud computing, the evolution of web-based applications, and their corollary issues of information control & privacy management. The use of social and traditional web-based media as a method of personal branding & promotion. Along with this comes image and personal information control and the growing role of digital profiles in employment. On a less serious vein, I enjoy reading, knitting, photography, traveling, blogging, listening to music, riding horses, discovering new websites & web applications, and reading (more). |
