| Introduction | A Certified Financial Planner (CFP)with over 25 years in financial services and marketing, Alan has also spent over 10 years in birth center management and birth advocacy. In 1999 Alan opened a U.S. style birth center in Jamaica. Within 4 months of the first birth, the center outgrew its building and then leased and converted an old maternity ward from the Catholic hospital. Utilizing Alan's marketing system, the center quickly reached its capacity of 100 births per month. In 2001 he reversed the financial situation of a Florida birth center. His long career in the insurance industry gives him credibility when dealing with insurance companies and managed care organizations. He became a national figure in financial services when he developed and produced the Life & Health Product EXPO, a trade show for the financial services industry. He took the show from a concept drawn on a napkin, to producing 12 shows across the USA annually. Alan travels the world improving birth for patients, providers and payers. |
