| Introduction | It's 2026. We are Bill and Mary, currently living in The Villages FL. We previously full-timed in our motorhome for about 10 years, but then elected to settle down and be closer to shopping and VA services, as well as for the more moderate climate. Since we were both from Central Florida, The Villages was a perfect choice. A few years ago we also lost our daughter Roxy (a GSD) and wanted a home with a yard to maybe get another one in the near future. We will still continue to travel in the summer as summer in Florida can be as brutal as winter in Wyoming, but we shall do so in one of our cars, staying either with friends, at an AirBnB or in a rented cabin. So the travels of RoughingItGently shall soon begin again, and be of our travels during the months of May - October. Winters we shall remain in The Villages where we hope to entertain a lot in our fabulous new Party House, with ample social area inside, an A/C'ed lanai, a covered/uncovered birdcage with a hardtop gazebo over a sitting area and the hot tub. We also have ample room for 4-6 guests overnight and look forward to hosting many of our past and future friends in the near future. |
