Introduction | Born in Iowa, grew up in Rhodes (Marshall Co.), graduated H.S. and went to the Navy at age 17. While serving attended Tidewater Community College, Old Dominion University and Drexel University. After 24 years I retired went into the Merchant Marine as Master Radio Electronics Officer "Sparks". I spent 15 years on liquid natural gas tankers (LNG Gemini and LNG Libra) running between Sumatra or Borneo and ports in Japan. Retired from the Marine Engineers Beneficial Association (MEBA) after 20 years. Published many articles on radio and genealogy in Kilobaud, Ancestry, Genealogical Computing, the Seaman's International Union "Log" and Roots & Branches Newsletter. Active in Genealogy and Ham Radio clubs in Central Florida. |
