Introduction | Hello there. My name is Danny Pettry. Born in 1980 - Beckley, West Virginia. Lived in Beckley until going to Marshall University in 2000. Love West Virginia and want to help make it a better state. Here is my self-description: I am a: recreational therapist, son, brother, reader, writer, coffee drinker, internet addict, book collector, good-person, and so much more. Education: I have a Master of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Park Resources and Leisure Services with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation from Marshall University (Huntington, West Virginia). I’m a lifelong learner and an avid reader. I plan to give myself an honorary doctorate after reading 1,000 books (laugh aloud). Maybe one day I’ll pursue a real Ph.D. Of course, I’ll read books on social psychology, motivation/ inspiration, humanistic psychology, therapeutic recreation and so much more. Continue reading my blog to learn more about me and what I do to help the world. |
