| Introduction | I'm Nancy Brown and I teach art to grades K-5 at the Captain Albert Stevens School in Belfast, Me. I also teach art one day a week at Kermit Nickerson School in Swanville. I started teaching here in 2015, after being out for a couple of years with my new son, Owen. I have taught art since 2001 in several places, including Searsport, Stockton Springs, Frankfort, Ellsworth, and Bath. I am originally from Scarborough, but currently live in Northport with my husband Rob and our little boy. We bought an old farmhouse and have rebuilt it from the inside out over the past years, mostly with our own hands. It is starting to look finished and I hope to have more time to work on my own paintings again soon! Teaching art to kids is endlessly inspiring for me. I love how they are always ready to dive in and try things, full of energy and fearless with their creativity. |
