| Introduction | My daytime job is shipbroker (intermediary in the chartering and sale&purchase of ships) sitting in Europe. During my spare time I'm a value investor managing his own personal portfolio of stocks and mutual funds. I'm a long term value investor in companies which spot market value deeply underrate either their normalized earning power or their equity fair value or in solid dividend plays. It means that I may look for: 1) low Price to Earnings or Price to Book stocks 2) turnaround plays 3) companies with good historical profitability track records tainted by internal temporary solvable problems or cyclical downturn of their industry. 4) Companies with business model or wide moat position supporting the payment of a solid dividend. |
