| Introduction | Once upon a time storytelling was a way to bring people together, to create and strengthen community. European countries have many legends with lots of heroes and themes. Our partnership wishes to explore both local and national legends to give us better understanding and respect for our cultures, traditions and to form a little community of 6 European schools. Through exchanging our work and visiting our partners we will learn about the richness of cultures and the heritage of participating countries. We will also work on classic fairy tales and look for morals and values and see how traditional stories live in modern culture and reflects our times and society. By using legends and fairy tales we will work through many areas of curriculum including history, literature, geography, music, art, drama and I.C.T. The broad variety of activities enable all pupils including those with special needs to participate effectively and creatively in the project. We want to make our project enjoyable, comfortable and successful and carry it to a happy ending so typical for fairy tales. |
