| Introduction | I am, more and more with each passing day, only me. I've long-since given up trying to be something else. It doesn't work and there's just no sense in it. Either become what you want to be, or don't. I try to bring hope to the world, to carry some small peace into the lives of those I meet, and to remind them that we don't have to give up the wonder of childhood to grow up. |
| Interests | I'm interested in all sorts of things. I'm constantly trying to improve myself, physically, mentally and spiritually. I love to meet new people and learn new things and I think that hope and humor can get us through just about anything. I enjoy reading, writing, photography and art. Music is as much a part of me as breathing and, while I may not be great at it, I play and sing with all I've got. |
| Favorite movies | I'll watch just about anything, though I've learned as I've gotten older how to turn things off when I've realized that they're wasting my time. I don't like things which are too full of themselves or completely devoid of any substance. I'm just as happy watching a documentary or indie drama as I am a formulaic romantic comedy, as long as they're put together well and I can find something into which I can invest myself. |
| Favorite music | I will listen to just about anything, short of the more misogynistic brands of country and hip hop. As a general rule, if it's got good lyrics, soulful vocals, a cheery beat, piano, strings and/or guitar, I'm there. I was raised on everything from classical and opera to Motown, rock, alternative and old school country, blues and jazz. |
| Favorite books | I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction, depending upon my mood and what I've most recently gotten my hands on. In fiction, I like authors like Gaiman, Pratchett, Christopher Moore, Charles deLint and Jim Butcher. While those are (mostly) fantasy authors, I'll give almost anything a try and am constantly on the lookout for new work. |
