Introduction	I am Patrick Dafferner and I am currently a Senior at the University of Tennessee Knoxville studying English with a focus in Creative Writing and a minor in Elementary Education. Prior to my life in Knoxville, I grew up in Germantown, TN, where I attended Germantown Elementary, Middle, and High schools. My goal as a student at UTK is to learn how to be an effective teacher in the classroom and develop the skills necessary to quickly identify students with learning disabilities and work to help them adjust and accommodate themselves to become independent thinkers, learners, and teachers. During the Summer I work at the Jewish Community Center where I am the Summer Aquatics Director. I focus on educating children and adults about water safety and I am to work towards eliminating a fear of the water by learning to swim.
