Introduction Stump the Violence has been in existence since 1998, it’s youth in development has produced positive outcomes to HCTC as it has effectively demonstrated that children you have participated in Stump the Violence have fewer conduct problems in school. The Stump the Violence Youth Leadership Institute teaches youth ages 10 to 18 years of age leadership skills: planning, organizing, implementing, and presenting. In addition to addressing the risk factor low neighborhood attachment and community disorganization Stump the Violence, addresses the risk factor Friends who engage in delinquent behaviors. The curriculum learned by each member provides a mechanism for youth involvement in the CTC process. Thus, trained youth leaders from the Stump the Violence program have been, and will continue to be, an integral part of Hartford Communities That Care, Inc.
