Introduction | At the age of 19 I was a full-time student with a great part-time job. I was a delivery driver for a dental technician. I drove around Portland all afternoon listening to the radio and thinking, "That has to be the coolest job ever!" Who knew that one day I would be behind the mike? Dreams do come true! I hope that you'll join me weekday mornings from 9am until Noon, PST for a variety of classical music from the traditional to the whimsical! |
Interests | Music, hiking, horseback riding, singing, reading, gardening, traveling, movies, decorating, snorkeling, scuba diving, canoeing, animal behavior, other cultures, Biblical archaeology. |
Favorite movies | Once (may be the best musical ever!), Chariots of Fire, My Brilliant Career, Miss Potter (best movie I've seen so far in 2007!), Bringing up Baby, What's up Doc, Pride & Prejudice (especially the Colin Firth version), Sense & Sensibility, Emma, Witness, The Year of Living Dangerously, Gallipoli (best anti-war movie ever), The Black Stallion, Holiday (Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn), Charade (the Audrey Hepburn version of course!), Wait Until Dark (best scary movie ever!), How to Steal a Million (what can I say....Peter O'Toole at his most handsome!), Roman Holiday, okay I'll stop now! |
Favorite music | The voices of Barbra Streisand, Kathleen Battle, Kenny Rankin, Dan Fogelberg (also love his lyrics), Sting, big band music, a lot of singer/songwriters, too many classical composers to name. |
Favorite books | Bible, Pride & Prejudice, My Brother Michael (I really like most of Mary Stewart's novels), Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey & Maturin series, Dorothy Dunnett's "Lymond Chronicles," A Severe Mercy, anything by C.S. Lewis, The Lord of the Rings, The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Alexander McCall Smith's No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency Series, Stephen Lawhead's "Byzantium" |
