Introduction	I was born hearing, and suffered Traumatic Deafness at 8 years old. At 10 years old, I had Ossicle Repair surgery, returning me some of the hearing in my right ear. My hearing was stable for many years, but has been quickly declining in the last year. I am now deaf again. I very recently underwent Cochlear Implant surgery, and am waiting to be "activated." I chose to get a CI to keep me connected to my family. I am a full-time student seeking an AS in Child Development and an AA in Sign Language. I tutor at my school in several subjects. I attend a Deaf Church, where I also teach.
