| Introduction | Hi I'm a girl in my 20's just trying to figure out this mysterious experience known as life. I'm studying neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania, and I'm working my way to becoming a doctor because the study of medicine and all factors of health (mental, physical, social, spiritual) fascinate me. I love to interact with people, but also have huge introvert tendencies and like to have space and time for myself. When I'm not studying my butt off, I like writing, running, photography, piano, volunteering, reading fantasy novels, watching animated films by Miyazaki with my friends, playing in nature, hiking, taking outdoor adventure trips, and creating things. I like reading about different cultural philosophies and traveling. I'm also trying to simplify my life and becoming more minimalist to more clearly experience the essential "marrow" of life as Thoreau puts it. Writing is my way of transforming my experiences and observations of the world, the good and the bad, into something beautiful and meaningful. |
