| Introduction | 'Media Jamettes' is comprised of a group of six young women; Keisha, Zahra, Carlene, Mc Queda, Anesa and Josanne who aspire to see the local media rise to a level where the content of shows, movies and productions made in produced in Trinidad and Tobago should be fully recognized by society. We would like to see our local shows being integrated into prime-time line up on television and North American shows only used as 'fillers' unfortunately this is not so.We are not only here to stir up bacchanal but to ensure that our vision for our local media is also seen by all those on this blog. 'Media Jamettes' is an informal, online space for the promotion, critique and discussion of local media; i.e. current content and productions, local media that used to be, possibilities for growth, and challenges and other issues relating to the development of the sector. We invite you to share in our discussions and be a part of this renewed focus on totally local media. Come on: Read. Share. Discuss. |
