| Introduction | I live in the one of the largest and one of the richest states in the union, TEXAS. But, this state ranks 49th out of 50 states when it comes to providing funding and services for its residents with disabilities. I have a 21 year old daughter with developmental disabilities. I am also the Director of Associate Programs for The Soaring Eagle Center and Thrift Shop. Our organization is a 501(c)3 formed in June 2003. The Center and Thrift Shop is to assist our young adults with life skills, community inclusion, building lasting friendships and continuing education after graduating from high school. My hobbies are flowering and trying to find time for myself. My interests are maintaining beauty, health, and fitness at any age and being my authentic self at all times. My favorite tv show is HGTV. Fall is my very favorite time of year! And, my passion is helping others lead a healthy lifestyle. Then, in my next life I would like to be a dancer/psychologist. |
