| Introduction | Hi, Im Dr Ronald. I am a Retinal Surgeon/ Specialist with vast experience having served in the No 1 Retinal Unit in Malaysia- The Selayang Eye Unit. Served there for more than 8 years where I headed the surgical retinal team from 2006. Come 2012 I recently left. Why? For new challenges as I believe you need change to grow. I can safely say, being personally involved in more than 1500 surgical retinal cases yearly, has given me the confidence in dealing with the most challenging of retinal cases be it trauma, bad tractional retinal detachment from uncontrolled diabetes, to all manners (and shapes) of rhegmatogenous retinal detachments. I loved working there and the unit I built. It is now a centre for the training of new retinal specialist and Ive had a hand in no less than 11 so far.
