| Introduction | This is my personal collection of random "meaningful" (to me anyway) thoughts. I started it in 2008. I joined USAID in 1987, after about 12 years of practicing corporate law in Beverly Hills, CA and becoming a partner at Ervin, Cohen & Jessup. USAID took me to 11 countries over the next 27 years, with plenty of time to absorb and/or create some stories, ponder the state of the world and development efforts, and bemuse myself and perhaps others by writing some of them down.
