| Introduction | Hello! My name is Holly DeFranco and I am post-baccalaureate from UT having received my BA in English in 1997. I am currently in the Knox County Co-hort for Elementary Education and will be starting my internship this fall at Brickey-McCloud Elementary in a Kindergarten classroom. I am super excited! I decided to come back to school and pursue this career when my youngest of four children began Kindergarten last fall. Prior to this, I have been a stay-at-home mom raising my kids for the past 11 years which is a full-time job in itself. Anyhow, having had an English degree and enjoying being with my own children and the opportunities I have had along the way to teach Sunday school, VBS and volunteer at their schools, it seemed a logical decision to begin this adventure. I also feel it will allow me to still be involved and available for my own children and family given the schedule... an added perk! |
