| Introduction | Page Wise is a freshman at Clemson University switching majors to Health Science. Her father was a pilot in the Air Force, while her mother was a doctor specializing in physical therapy and rehabilitation science. Growing up Page was interested in the sciences, concentrating on biology, and sports, with a concentration in basketball and horseback riding. Because her mother was a physical therapist, she was able to shadow her in the work environment. Shortly being exposed to the combination of science and athleticism, Page was inspired and knew what she wanted to work hard to be. At the time, Page was considering going into nutrition because she liked dealing with the health of other people, but that was not enough. Physical therapy dealt with helping people learn how to live healthy lives and preventing injuries by eating healthy and staying active. From then on Page focused hard on accomplishing what she needs to do in order to become a physical therapist. |
