| Introduction | My name is Dionna Latimer. I am an adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I am not a therapist, nor am I a counselor. I have created this blog as a network of support. Like many survivors, I kept my secret hidden for many many years, planning to take it to my grave. God dealt with me for over 4 years about speaking up and exposing what had been done to myself, as well as my sister. After more than 30 years, we finally broke the silence Thanksgiving of 2011. Since then I have heard so many stories of people that I know. God has directed me to become an advocate for adult victims, and survivors of sexual abuse. If you are reading this, and you have never said a word, your time is now. Your voice has a right to be heard, and you are not alone. My prayer is that as you read my posts, as well as any comments, it will be the beginning of healing, deliverance, and freedom. |
