| Introduction | I grew up in rural Oklahoma. A tornado (probably an EF-3) ate our barn when I was very young. Back then, the only tornado warning came when the electricity was cut off. In some circles, I'm considered an expert in disasters, terrorism, and emergency management. I've written a few books and have been fortunate enough to have received high-level commendations for my dedication to that profession. |
