| Introduction | I am a freelance writer living in Cartersville, GA who has been writing for most of my adult life. After spending about 20 years in mainframe operations and fighting increasingly longer drive times in Atlanta traffic, I decided it was time to get serious about pursuing my passion for writing. I have been published in local and national newspapers as well as being the author and developer for four websites, including this one. One of these has also received over 17,000 hits since its inception in 2006. These are all listed on the page for Publishing Credits. I am happily married with nine children and nine grandchildren. All but one came from previous marriages and two were “mutually adopted”. My youngest child is with my wife and soulmate. We are active members of a local Lutheran congregation. In my spare time, I have been feeding my passion in history with Civil War re-enacting since 1994. I also enjoy historical research, hiking, camping, biking, and relaxing outdoors. Reading and writing are always a large part of everything I do. I am also currently pursuing my first BA in History with a minor in English from Georgia Highlands College and Kennesaw State University. |
