| Introduction | I am an educator. I grew up in rural Massachusetts and have been living in California for almost 20 years. Originally trained to teach elementary school, I found my love for early childhood education while nannying toddlers and substitute teaching kindergarten. Once I had the opportunity to work with infants, a new world of education opened up to me. I enrolled in Lifeways North America, a Waldorf Early Childhood Education program, and received my certificate. Since becoming a mother I have decided to make the shift from working in childcare to leading parent child classes and playgroups. I completed the RIE Foundations course and Mothering Arts training in the Fall of 2015. I will begin a postpartum doula training in January 2017. |
