About me

Introduction In March 2012 I was diagnosed with fandomitis. "At my age?" was my first thought, for I didn't even have the disease when I was a teenager. The first doctor that I went to tried to reassure me: "Don't worry, we are talking about low levels of exposure. She's just an antipodean singer unknown here in Spain". Ironically, I just had heard "Somebody that I used to know" twice as I was sitting in the waiting room, being played on the hit music station they were tuned in. When I moved to another doctor he took some samples and got them analyzed. A week later he told me: "Well, as you may know, fandomitis severely affects the brain's ability to discern talent. We've analyzed the audio and video samples and have found out that what you have is a mild variety of the disease. That girl has got talent." He went on to say that there is still no cure for die-hard fandomitis but, in my case, a bad album or a boring performance of hers could facilitate recovery. "As for those creative secretions you're now keeping in lunch boxes, I recommend you'd better blog them." And that's what I started doing.
